40 things I love about Oman #35 Mailboxes & Daggers!

So in Oman there is no mail delivered to houses. All mail comes to the "company" you work for. Sometimes is can take months for mail to arrive, often coming all at the one time. It is frustrating not to be able to get things like birthday cards for the kiddos on time, but it is a huge celebration when mail finally arrives!
I love interesting mail boxes. In Oman, they are designed in the replica of a "Khanjar", an Omani traditional dagger. The Khanjar is worn as ornamental these days!

Once when hubby and a friend where looking to mail letters in another country, one was looking for a square blue American mailbox, while the other was looking for round red British postbox! After a long search they found a round yellow one! Just for fun, here is what they found and what they were looking for!
