This lizard is a little larger than the ones that used to live in our house in Oman! There are many types of lizards found in the Omani desert but in homes they are thankfully not that big!
Little gekkos are commonly found scurrying around the walls of homes in Oman. Of course our kiddo No.2 wanted desperately to catch them as pets. One one occasion when we were moving home from one part of Muscat to another, she tried to catch one of them to take with her. Sadly in the process the gekkos tail came off and there was much crying and drama!
Once we got settled in the new place, what should come out from under the couch but the tailless gekko! Yip. He had hid inside the couch and made it safely to his new place. Needless to say we had a very happy child in the house!
