Chocolate Blessings!

It's the little things in life that make me smile. Those unexpected blessings, that to some may be small, but mean a lot to me. This week has been crazy busy. Homeschooling is a heavy workload this year and with so much time off waiting for our shipment to arrive with our school books, we are having to keep going at what feels like a frantic pace! Shopping for groceries has become a chore as I have to speed around in less than an hour to get back home to catch up with schooling the kiddos. Thankfully the holiday of Eid is approaching so we will take some time off then.
Anyway, the little blessing this week was that at the grocery store, they had some American chocolates! It was perfect timing as Thanksgiving is fast approaching and this is the one time in the year when we go all out and bake all kinds of yummy treats. Normally here, it is hit and miss as to what products from overseas come into the stores. For 3 months there have been no chocolate chips, so to have this as well as some Fall wrapped chocolates, was one of life's little blessings. The kiddos cant wait to make cookies and treats with them! We still miss things like Butterscotch chips and Pumpkins which we can't find here.
I suppose at this time of year our traditions become more meaningful. Thanksgiving will be especially significant this year as we look back to a year ago and how coming to this country seemed like a far off dream. We are thankful to the One who has brought us here.
