When we first visited Oman way back, we were amazed at all the guys orange or blue jump suits cleaning the streets. It would seem that many took great risks in sweeping by the side of the busy highways. It is a very thankless job, often done in the scorching sun. Even the street signs have to be cleaned!
Oman is a very clean Arabian country and has many migrant workers who come to Oman to make money to send back to their home countries. I often reflect on these men who are gone from their families for years at a time. Breaks from the hot sun are few but you will see many workers taking a break and are somehow able to sleep like this...
