Still visitors here!

Wow! Looks like the blog was missed with all the hits that it got yesterday and today! I've missed posting so lots of news to catch up on. First the visa. The good news is that all the paperwork for myself and the kiddos has been approved. Yeah!
The saga took forever since I hold dual citizenship! Everything was applied for in a passport from one country and my last resident visa was in another country's passport. SO. Everything had to go back to the beginning and they had to verify I was the same person in both passports and that all the documents which had beeen previously verified had to be verified again. Two trips for my Sweet to the Cyprus consulate (the country we married in) and another Embassy to verify yes we were legally married and that both passports are really me. I have the scary stressed out, about to move overseas non blonde hair one passport photo and then the prettied up dyed blonde, happy settled photo in the other one-so I can understand their dilemma!
But still we wait. For some reason it is a very complicated process to take the passports to the visa office and have them stamped. Two weeks after the approval we are still waiting. Tomorrow the visit visas expire again and so we have pay more money to have another visa. So far the process has cost well over $2000, 1000 Pounds or 800 Rial! Tomorrow will be another 60 Rial. One Kiddo got her visa last week when she went with some friends to Dubai.
On the positive side, we have enjoyed our visa runs through the desert. This last time we managed to do some Christmas shopping courtesy of our families and friends back home. Their generosity meant that the Kiddos got to have a nice Christmas.

The other absolutely fun thing for me was to finally see some camels and get photos. For years I have been wanting to see these camel warning signs for myself-love it! And yes these camels were right by the roadside!

Camel Train!

Sad to see another herd of camels eating garbage thrown out car windows

With no collars or tags it looks like these are wild camels. It was wonderful to see them but sad to see these amazing creatures so hungry and not cared for. As you can see the city is taking over what was their desert.
