11 fun years!

One of my Kiddos turned 11 today. Two tweens in the house now! A lot has happened in those 11 years. Got me to reminiscing. We were supposed to move here 11 years ago but found out I was unexpectedly pregnant with our second kiddo. The thought of moving while 6 months pregnant along with a 1 year old didn't seem right. As it turned out it was a complicated delivery and long recovery so we made the right choice in the end. We also didn't realize that we would only have 2 more years with my Sweet's Dad, so those years were well spent. Time passes by so fast. Sometimes it's good to just stop and remember and be thankful. Eleven years. Three cross-cultural moves. Living in 5 countries, 9 houses, on 3 continents. Making friends from all over the world, becoming a dual citizen, homeschooling 3 amazing kiddos, getting to impact the lives of young people. Much to be thankful for. 


So today we celebrate our baby girl beginning the journey of becoming a young lady. This week she gave away 3 boxes of her My Little Pony sets to a charity in India along with lots of stuffed animals and books. She told us that she would rather little girls in India enjoy her stuff than them sitting on a shelf or box in her room. She still loves animals and reptiles and is now on a quest to breed hamsters to raise money for poor kids in India. Instead of sending them old toys she wants to use the money to buy new ones so that they get nice boxed gifts! Proud of her in so many ways. It's a good day.
